Suprisingly they have 1,500 employees and have been brewed 1777. Their brewery is based in Blandford St. Mary in Dorset. I have had some of the badgers products before and was not all that inpressed to be honest, but I found their original ale to be nice. The brewery fell into a state of very low production and nearly closed due to lack of investment in communist times but recent investment in 2002 has rejuvenated production

The original recipe was brewed in 1927 but it is now brewed by Heineken Group.

It smelt and tasted of a fine vintage port with a hint of raisins, a taste so nice that you want to hold in on your tongue  forever.

It is a 4.0% ABV Kentish Ale brewed  with " local pride" made from the finest Kentish Hops. 

To me this beer epistomises how an ale should taste, hoppy, then spicy and then the long bitter aftertaste that makes the side of your tongue smack with bitterness.  I love this beer. The brewery was founded in 1859 but is now owned by Heiniken. 

This beer is incredibly easy to drink and I could imagine drinking it in vast quantities on a sunny Italian terrace. Overall though it is very watery with a slight hint of lemon but none the less it is a nice average beer.

It is brewed in Quilmes near Buenos Aires. Like Tusker in Kenya , this is viewed as a national institution. Quilmes sponsors the Argentinian Soccer team and Boca Juniors. The bottle also sports the Argentinian  national flag colours of light blue and white. 

Despite the strong association with Argentina the brewery ws actually founded by a German imigrant in 1888.

It is an Authentic Trappist Beer. There are only 7 Trappist breweries left in the world . Six of these are in Belgium,  and one in the The Netherlands which is La Trappe.

Another US offering. This is a 6.9% fellow and to be honest I could taste it. Dry and hoppy. Tasted a small bit of citrus. All in all it is worth a try but overall it is nothing spectacular. As with most standard size German bottles it has scrape marks on the glass from being sold in crates and the being recycled many times over.

If they are all this good, I will be a very happy man at the end of this endeavour. Brewed by the Hook Norton Brewery in Oxfordshire, England, this is a dark and strong brown beer. The subtle front label has an illustration of a partridge in a pear tree which almost subliminally adds to its festive name -Twelve days.

I'm surprised at this stage that the bank haven't rang me saying they suspect my credit card has been stolen by some vagabond alcoholic visiting several off licences in the Munster area.  I now have 122 different bottles of beer. 92 standing to attention this morning.Can't believe I arranged them in alphabetical order by brewery. There is a method to my madness( even though saner people are locked up).
